Our City & Guilds NVQ courses are designed to provide; managers, supervisors, and safety practitioners with a degree-level qualification through practical study.
NVQs are based upon the current national occupational standards - these are essentially statements of the standards of performance individuals must achieve when carrying out functions in the workplace, together with specifications of the underpinning knowledge and understanding individuals must have of those activities. Essentially they specify the level of performance expected amongst competent workers in a particular occupation.
These qualifications cover all aspects of the occupation and aim to ensure that individuals use what are considered to be the current best practices, whilst demonstrating that they have the appropriate knowledge and ability to cater for future changes to requirements.
NVQs are work-based qualifications, so in order for anyone to be processed they must currently be in employment or an appropriate level of training/education.
Ensuring that you or your workforce is NVQ qualified will enhance the quality of the service you are capable of providing and demonstrates a commitment to quality both internally and externally to customers.

The City & Guilds Diploma NVQs are (dependent on level) aimed at; supervisors, assistant managers, managers, deirectors, health and safety practitioners or those individuals aspiring to those roles.
Unlike accademic qualifications the NVQ is an assessment of your vocational ability and as such there is no examination requirement. You will however be required to build an 'on-line' portfolio providing work-based evidence that you meet the specified standards. We will guide you through this process!
Online learning (frequently called e-learning) is nothing to worry about and there are many benefits to it particualarly as it allows you to complete it at your own pace and within the comfort of your own surroundings i.e. at home. We will walk you through the requirements and provide you with all the necessary information and detail that you will need to know to succesfully undertake the NVQ. You will also have access to a qualified and experienced 'learner manager' who can help answer any questions you may have about the process.
City & Guilds are not only industry recognised qualifications, they are also recognised across the world. This puts them in high demand particularly, when achieving a qualification the right way with the right training is more important than ever.
Upon successful completion individuals will be in a position to apply to both the IOSH and the IIRSM for membership.
